My approach to counseling
I believe the most important work we can do is to free ourselves from destructive patterns and move toward our potential.
When we do this work, we invest in ourselves and the people we love. We create a ripple effect in the world.
My role as a therapist is to guide, support and encourage you in understanding your beliefs about yourself, others, and the world, and how those beliefs are helping or hindering you.
The relationship you create with your therapist is the most important part of the process. For this reason, I encourage you to find the right fit for you. You can read more about finding the right fit here.
Credentials and Services
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, license #65655, with a master’s degree in Counseling. I specialize in relationship counseling, depression, anger management and anxiety disorders.
I offer a variety of services including individual counseling, couples counseling, blog posts addressing common struggles and the opportunity to consult with me virtually.
In my early adulthood I found myself struggling with patterns of behavior and beliefs that were counterproductive to the life I wanted for myself.
I knew what I wanted: a healthy, stable relationship with my partner, a fulfilling, sustaining career and the ability to be at peace within myself and my relationships.
But these things all felt out of reach.
A researcher and listener by nature, I set out to learn everything I could about how people create change in their lives and why some people remain stuck.
My search led me to graduate school and an advanced degree in counseling. I’m still blown away by the effect my education and experiences have had on my own life and the lives of those I work with. The results are amazing.
